Consultation

Cookham Parish Council has set up a Working Group of councillors and residents to prepare a Neighbourhood Plan which will help guide future change in Cookham. This is a Plan for the community, by the community. It is therefore important that the Neighbourhood Plan reflects your aspirations.

The Working Group aims to be transparent with its work. During the process of producing the plan, you will be invited to provide your views and asked for confirmation if we have understood your wishes correctly. There will be three consultation periods before the plan is ready. We will have an initial consultation asking for ideas, a second consultation confirming priorities and directions and a third for a review of the proposed plan.

We are asking for your views on Cookham and its future. During the initial consultation you provided helpful directions, which helped establish the focus of the Plan. Then our second consultation you overwhelmingly confirmed that in our Vision Statement (see Consultation 2: ‘A Vision for Cookham’) we had understood you correctly. Thank you. We have now drafted a plan which embodies those principles and policies. As promised, we are now revisiting this with you in the form of a ‘Regulation 14’ consultation, so that you can comment on our draft.
